The Supercat definitely DOES NOT turn on the Check Engine Light, unless you damaged the O2 sensor or something during the install. It is a great piece for those that don't want to have a check engine light and/or need to be smog checked. I personally have the RB and RP combo and they are both great. Great craftsmanship and great sound. Not loud at all, just right. Much deeper than stock, no droning noises. As far as power i felt a little bit of an increase with the combo, but not much. Mostly for a different sound

The older model (sold last year and early this year) would throw a cel after the mazda flash back in march due to a change in exhaust temp that messed with the cat (did not throw a cel prior). RP has changed the cat they are using now and it does not throw a cel, once again. Also, they now come with a hanger.

They're good folks out there and will treat you right.

And to answer your vendor question, no, they are not one.

so i know this is a couple of days old but i was wondering if anyone has smogged this yet and how bad it failed or if it actually did pass. i am going to be coming up on it soon, i guess it would be helpful to get the other mods you have on your car too. thanks.

the supercat should pass emissions, its still a catalytic converter, just a high flowing one.
