I don't see how the front license plate would be an issue. The area where a front plate is fitted is solid plastic. There's no pass through airflow there anyway.

how do you test hp gains on ram air since you cant ram air on a dino

Good place to put it for performance, but i have to wonder if it effects cooling and how often your going to have the clean the filter since your going to be sucking in a ton of dirt/bugs

one thing it may affect is the sound. It may make the revi a little quieter. I ran a cold air thingy for some time with the stock box and etc. No problem with bugs etc. It will be hind the pseudo grill also so just visualize. There are not many differant shapes it could be. I bet you will have to drop your bottom pan to put it on AND now i know why RB designed the a/c screen the way they did!
I speculate it shouldnt be much over $100, I hope I am not wrong for Nemesis8's future visa mutilation lol!
Remember this engine enjoys anything cool in temp!

thinking about chopping up the vfad to get a peice that will fit the opening through the beam then routing my own intake. Has anyone done this with the revi?

Why wouldnt that be in tune? I am only speaking of delivering cooler air to the revi intake. Not changeing the revi in any way. The revi box (just like the stock one) is HOT to the touch(after driving)! Doing this to the stock box sure cooled things. I think it can do the same for the revi(RB must think the same thing). I cut my vfad to get a piece that will fit well on the crash beam now I will look for the appropiate thing to get the cooler air from down in the grill area up to it. It sure cant hurt. Besides it keeps me busy and out of my wifes hair and my credit card in my pocket..

If you line the bottom of the intake box with seveal layers of tin foil, you can help keep the heat down somewhat. The radiator fans blow straight onto it.

Wow, this is a nice surprise!

I wasn't expecting this to come out until this fall.

Hmm, don't see the Mazda Warranty ***** liking this too much.

At least with the Revi, it isn't TOO noticeable.
