I didn't know a person could get pulled over for looking like a race car.

Don't some cars come stock with them in the a-pillar?

This has nothing to do with the A-Pillar gauge pod, but I love these gauges. Wish I had them in the 8.

those look too busy for me!

If a cop pulled me over for having gauges in my A-pillar I would laugh. It isn't against the law to "look like a race car", at least not in AZ. Cali is stupid and has some pretty dumb laws reguarding motor vehicles. I remember the Pontiac Grand Prix of a few years ago that was factory s-charged had two gauges in the a-pillar (boost and oil temp) from the factory.

They only way I see them saying it's illegal is if it obstructs your view thru the windsheild.

I think he just means they were getting hassled by the cops. I like the a-pillar look too but its not very stealthy. I reallly dig those prosport guages. Why would one need a controller for guages?

Defi and Autometer Nexus gauges require a controller (modual box) for their controllers

Having a controller may give more functionality or ease of programming.

I had it for my gauges when I was turboed. At first I tried to glue it in place but under the sun it came off. Then I tried to use glue & double sided tape, and it still came off. Finally, we just used a small screw at the top, then it stayed on just fine. Though it's no longer on my car anymore. It comes as a set. One for the left side (with two gauge slots), and a right (just a carbon fiber applique that goes on the A Pillar.

I never had a problem with the gauge pod, and I live in Glendale, arguably one of the strictest (read = uptight) cities in L.A.
