Need help quieting down exhaust.

Hey guys I have a full 3" custom exhaust, has a resonated midpipe and everything. I just installed the exhaust today, bought it off a member a few months back. I installed it today with the cat, so the shop shrunk the end of the exhaust down to 2.5" instead of 3" to fit the cat, so its a catback right now. It has no mufflers. It sounds great, but its WAY too loud for me, I didnt think it would be that loud. Idle sounds amazing though, nice deep groul, like a v8 almost....ironically.

Any ideas on how to quiet it down? Obviously adding mufflers would help, but not sure if I can, its straight piping all the way back, then turns into a Y shape to come out the rear bumper. Not sure if I can throw mufflers on there, anyone in the same boat? I need to quiet this thing down, I love the sound way too much to sell it, but if I have no other choice...

As you've noticed the Rotary is a loud engine. Put some mufflers on it. Or just dont start the car.

Most feasible, and cheapest...

Cat but no mufflers? Apexi active silencer may be good, also learning how to drive quiet may help. Im running an unresonated test pipe w/single exit and after time you can learn how to keep the levels down. My MPG saw an improvement as well
