AEM cold air intake hands down. You won't get much horsepower from any intake, but this has the best chance of adding the most horsepower, looks the best, and sounds awesome. Just my .2

Oh, and the AEM is compatible with some FI kits. Suck it K&N

this thread should be moved. An aftermarket intake is not a major horsepower upgrade.

I liked the stock intake with K&N drop in and Racing beat duct . I really think it did help at high speed . Agree with Red Rex about the AEM as well ....

Actually the Racing beat intake is better than AEM.

More power throughout the range. Not just top end at 8k

Blasphemy! The Racing Beat intake looks boring. Funeral black like everything else under the hood. And again, no intake is going to generate anymore than a few horsepower. IF (and I still doubt it) the Racing Beat does produce more horsepower its probably going to be less than one. The Racing Beat would be my second choice (only with the cold air duct, I don't buy into ram-air intakes). Both sound and probably perform very similarly. But the AEM is the more complete package (it comes as a cold-air intake, no duct needed) and again its usable with some FI kits. Plus its shiny. Thats gotta add some horsepower, right?

+1 on the thread being moved and SeanKhan my ".2" meant my two cents, as in opinion.

Take the intake out.

You'll get the best performance.

search.

The Racing Beat intake is cold air without the duct. the air comes in from outside the engine bay.
The AEM/Mazdaspeed intake looks shinier but the RB makes more power under the curve.

Lots of reading for the OP as there are plenty of threads asking this question. thread closed
