Allez! Allez!!! ALLEZ!!!!

Bike season is upon us!!!
I love it with Dura-ace components and Look pedals. Infinity mpg, but a lot more wear on the driver.

The only thing I can think of to help (more than my granny driving) is to keep my shift points below 3800 rpm. But jeez, come on. I didn't buy the car to get passed by the real grand-ma's..........
When I first got mine I had about 300 miles on it and I read all the different break in methods and sutff and decided to go with the hard break in and stuff. After I hit about 1000 miles my gas mileage gradually increased from 14-16 to anywhere from 18 to 19.5. All city.
I dont know if the hard break in method was what caused it or if it was just simply that the engine was getting more broken in.

Has anyone read the Owner's Manual and seen where it states the car does NOT require a break in period?!

The only thing the OM states is NOT to exceed 7500 RPMS for E X T E N D E D periods of time.

God bless the Wankel!

Also keep in mind the car burns oil...(Although small amounts) still NOT the best combustion mix but it does the trick.

ALSO I live in NH where it gets frickin cold and I get about 250 - 275 miles per tank and I am a LEAD FOOT! The car makes that little beep 4 - 6 times a day just cause I can!

I haven't seen anyone mention newer less resistant plug wires. The Nology plug wires claim to increase mpg by 3!

It gets crappy mileage... Oh well!
