Does anyone here run an aftermarket mid pipe or racepipe with the oem muffler? I tried searching but I am looking for maybe a sound clip and some input if you have this setup. My only other mod is a k&n typhoon2 intake...I'm not really going for overall power, I would just like a little more sound plus the flexibility that if I want an aftermarket cat back later on I can go that route.....Does a mid pipe replace the 2 cats that the rx8 comes with from factory?...Also If I purchase an aftermarket header will that bolt directly to the aftermarket mid pipe or is there another connecting pipe between them......Sorry for all the questions at once, but I am just trying to get to know my car a little better.....

i am getting some funny noises too, but more like metal rubbing and sqeaking noise. at first i thought it was my brakes cuz it would go away when i brake. but my brakes are ok. i think it only comes on when i step on teh gas. sound familar? i'm gonna jack on my car to check anyways but just want another opinun.
