Very nice 7 Ernie. I was talking to a guy from Mazda R&D at rev it up in OC, My bro asked when the MazdaSpeed Version will be out. Mark said not for another 3yrs. AGAIN that is still a speculation. But I will enjoy my 8 until then.

If you don't want to wait that long, the MazdaSpeed parts will be available soon after the 8 arrives.

But Enjoy these for now.... :D

I have a good pic of Ernie's old car.
I have to agree that the rx8 mazdaspeed front looks sillybazilly.
Ernie have you been to the mazda web site yet and seen all the mazdaspeed goodies for the 8?

Yes, Mazda Competition is a great resource, and all you need to do is drive your mazda in 3 events a year.. 3 autocrosses.... 1 drag race, 2 autoxs... 1 road race 1 drag 1 autox... just so long as it is an official event.

It helps a little if you have a SCCA membership or something similar.

The dapratment is run by real motorheads/rotorheads... would you expect anything less?

That's a great program but the membership rules say autocrossers can't purchase body parts or interior trim parts. Foo.

Mazda Competition does not sell Mazdaspeed parts. They stopped importing them from Japan.

Contact me, I can get mazdaspeed parts. They are not cheap though. However, it will be interesting to see what mazdaspeed produces after the Rx-8 has been tuned

Yeah I used to autocross to obtain good deals on stock parts and along with it come great service.. thank you Tim and the bunch in Irvine.. I gotta get back out there soon!

Some of your local Mazda dealerships will soon become official MAZDASPEED dealerships as well... Ford is still working on the logistics.

Not to spoil anyone's purchase of the rx8 this year but I caught wind of a mazdaspeed version of the rx8 supercharged coming out late next year or as early as summer next year. I think I will wait. And hopefully by then they will have a completed version of the production supra as well.

i wish i had a bullshit emoticon here. Straight from the horses mouth many times mazda has said that mazdaspeed wasn't gonna release the MS RX-8 for at least 2 years and were not persuing FI at that time.

That being said, man i hope youre right. I will gladly eat my words with a side of liver.
