Racing Beat is on Record saying that their exhaust isnt advisable with a TC engine. Going turbo requires exhaust to be freer flowing than the RB.

others have mentioned it as well

RB's exhuast would be FINE for boost - if you had different mufflers welded in.

here in SA one of the bigger exhaust companies played a bit and the best they got was about 18Hp, it might sound a lot but from the front they started with 3" s/steel and removed the cat totally and then another box similar to the standard one at the back but all 3" in and out.there wasnt space for two pipes as the space got too little at the back box, only one 3" at the right side.It also sounds great.
the main differance is cat out totally !
I saw the graphs

Since we were not observing gains anywhere near some of these claims, we decided to obtain two of these systems for our own reference. One of the systems performed as expected and produced around 3 HP, as did the RB prototype unit. However, the other system did not fare as well and actually produced less power than stock!"

My concern is buying another exhaust system and suppose you buy the system that reduces your HP. That means you just spent ~$600 for a ~negative 2HP...which means You need to spend another $600 to get back to stock, then another $600 to get to +3.5HP. Total estimated cost of the gamble~mistake ~=$1,800 if you buy the wrong exhaust system. Or you can just buy the Racing Beat exhaust and take the sure gain for $600.00

1st) Anybody have any clue as to which exhaust will lose you HP?
2nd)RB dynoed the other exhaust systems before the RB one was completed......who was offering exhaust systems before RB's was completed?
3rd)When did RB first start selling the RB Exhaust?

Yeah thats another exhaust sold and another raise for whoever typed that. . I'm not saying that it may not be true but thats a shitty thing to put on a webpage for us very smart for them oh well i'm buying the one from vivid racing when its released to good of a deal to pass up

I just got the turbo on, but I plan on getting a new exhaust next year. Gotta wait for my bank account to recover.

I believe RB said it wasnt designed for a turbo'd engine, not that it was incompatible (inadvisable?). no one had designed an exhaust for the turbo'd engines yet, but i have the RB on mine with the Greddy and am very happy.

Any weight outside the axles make a difference. If the 10 lbs saving with some systems is from the mufflers and some for the piping, then the weight falls outside of the axles and makes a difference in handling. Now, can we feel it when we drive, more than likely not. A pro with years of seat time, maybe so since it's further away from the middle of the car. Adding a few HP and saving 10lbs as well is a plus.

As for weight, you guys are making too much of it. This is weight down low and in the rear, hardly the worse place to have it and not something you would notice. Losing weight on the exhaust would be part of a larger strategy but not critical or a priority due to its placement and location. The weight of the exhaust would be of concern if you already addressed it everywhere else and for that RB now offers a lightweight solution.

If you are concerned with weight, look at wheels, tires, suspension, drivetrain, and going on a diet.

For the record, I am highly satisfied with my RB exhaust.
