How is your RP Supercat holding up?

It would be good to see how these are holding up long term. Please contribute the following.

1). How many miles on it?

2). How long has it been on the car?

3). Do you track with it?

4). NA or FI?

5). Any Failure

2) 13 months

3) No track

4) NA

5) in late February I started hearing a rattle coming from it at high rpm's. The smell was getting 'worse' and when I dropped the cat on saturday, it was completely broken. I'll post pics this week.

yes but only about 1,000 miles or so with the new leaner fuel maps.
Ran some of MM's maps for a few months prior but they were awfully rich.

1) 30k miles
2) Since Feb 2005
3) Less than five track days
4) NA
5) Not yet, but I've been beating it to death now with Jeff's AP tune

It's coming off as soon as BHR or RB gets their midpipe complete.

wait for the Racing Beat or BHR's midpipe. They will most likely be just as quiet as the RPCAT and if you can get over the smell; you're golden

30k miles 15k na 15k turbo
2 years 6 months
No track
See above
Held up fine na. Blow torched it when I went turbo. Metal catalyst sun flowered so I had it gutted 8k miles ago.
Had the 2.5 inch rear flange cut off at the same time. Opted for the resoNator when I bought it and have always loved the sound quality.

I think I've had mine for almost 2 years. Not sure how many miles I can check my records when I get home.
NA, mazdaspeed catback.
It runs great and sounds awesome. I have had my CEL come on and off randomly since last year. Not sure why though, so I can't really pin it on the Supercat.

I tried searching on youtube for this setup, but came up with nothing. do i need a new gasket or is it normal? I'll post a video once i get my camera gets fixed

you will be able to hear the cat at a very specific RPM I think it's around 5800 RPM. Other than that, I don't have any raspy sound. I have the Racing Beat exhaust BTW.

Second RP SuperCat... that being said,

1. 1st one lasted 13,000 miles, 2nd one has been on for about 8K
2. 1st- 14month, 2nd - 9-10 months
3. Several AutoX's, 2nd - not yet but plan on track events
4. NA and SC'd, 2nd-SC'd
5. "cat"ostrophic failfure at 121mphs, clogged, then shot pieces out the tails pipe, caused a 15psi boost spike and declogged itself after majority of it shot out onto the road.
2nd - no such failure yet and yes I have been up to that speed and beyond with the new one,,, I plan on completely gutting the original and using it as a straight pipe...

Rotr8: no offense buddy but I don't know why you're even running a CAT with a SC. Definitely hurry up and gut one of them.
