Man these cops!

Ok this is a 2part question!
I just put my K&N typhoon intake and my borla exhaust on and man I've never been more excited to drive my car in my life those mods are amazing!!!! Anyway I was driving down one of the streets and much to my surprise I saw the red and blue strobes. The officer approached my car and said he could ticket me for disturbing the peace he let me off with a warning and told me to "get rid of the noise" I wanna know if he can really ticket me or was he just being an "A hole"

Part 2: I just put some super blue LED's for my turn signals, I put em in yesterday and when I turn them on as I make a turn the flash alot faster then the regular bulbs, is this normal and will it mess anything up??

Anything other than orange/white for turn signals is illegal

Cop was just being a dick on the disturbing the peace. However, you should not be driving fast enough through residential areas to get noticed though...

Dont know about other states but in MD if your car is proven to exceed 80db it can recieve a fix it citation, to eleviate the problem, as long as you show receipts that you went out of your way to fix it and spend a certain amount(I think its currently $400) to fix it you get a waiver.
This means you can go out and buy something or pay a tech to "fix" it. Most of the time people go out and buy something to make it louder like a header or straight pipe, thats what I would do if I ever received that ticket...

Blue lights are reserved for Police vehicles. That why you got the citation for that.

If there is a heavier current draw on the circuit, the lights will flash faster. If it was flashing 10X with standard incandescent bulbs, you would barely see the flash.

might burn some fuses or whatnot... just stick with the stock turning bulbs, they're fine

I wouldn't mess with blue at all on the outside of the car. Unless you specifically ask a police officer who knows what he's talking about. There are actually a few websites where you can ask cops questions. But I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have any blue, esp a flashing or blinking light.
