what are all the parts you need? meaning you want to build a custom one?

there kits out there that comes with everything you need to get going... and there will always be parts you want to modify to keep it from heating up.

i bought the esmeril kit and i absolutely LOVE it even though i'm running the turbo at it's laziest possible state (4psi LOL). couldn't tune it yet cuz my guy's dyno wasn't working but he got it fixed so i'll be going in this saturday. i'll post up my dyno #s and videos by saturday night.

the kit will cost you a little over $6000 including shipping (this is a COMPLETE kit, comes with every freaking little tape, wire, flanges, screws you need... they even wrote on the inner piping to let you know which end is which lol). I spent about $400 for gauges from prosport and lokitech gaugepod. Spent almost a little under $400 for greddy profec b boost controller. spent $140 for turbo blanket spent around $400 for act clutch (from mr ray charles, best price & customer service). spent $1400 for installation of turbo, clutch, gauges.

So yea... that's how much it costed me. hope that helps and good luck

*Prices are estimates for i dont really remember exact prices lol

alternatively, the whoosh sound can be imitated by mouth through a crack in the window as you drive past pedestrians. the only part you need is mouth, and cost is real low

The real question is "How much $ do you want to spend?"

You have 2 routes, 1-cheap, then upgrade as you go or 2-buy complete kit and don't upgrade. You get what you pay for...

And if you want to learn from most of our mistakes, go with route 2. Or buy kit from someone that went route 1 and decided to go route 2 after seeing mistake made.

I need to update this page for stuff like accessport, but most of it is still relevant for describing the costs to go FI with the greddy kit:

well here's the guy... Charles R. Hill from BHR, not the r&b singer... but he's also welcome to order parts and get advice from mr c. hill (not to confuse with mr dshill with the famous wife lol)
