Assuming that BHR does bring their header to market and I am willing to source an HJS cat to go with it, which one is the best fit?

Please bear in mind that I can neither read nor speak German and trying to find my way through their page with very little success.

How's that BHR header going? I have been putting off getting a custom long header until this is released. I have some bhr stuff and it's quality. I haven't installed the resonator yet though (cause I am waiting for development on this).

I would recommend the PE model for a rotary engine, it is the one I first used back in 2006 and it also has 3" in/out connections

I went with the 400 hp model this time, it had just come out when I bought it, it is a big high flowing ****, overkilll for NA but I wanted the absolute least restriction and also figured to leave it in place if I ever move on to FI ...

and unless you're racing then you might want to consider these 200 cpi units for street use instead, though they are new to me they appear to be designed with long term emissions durability in mind, even at 200 cpi the area is so much larger than the Davesport cat that they likely flow close to the same

In your opinion and with your familiarity with their products, would you say the 200 cpi units would be compatible with occasional track use?

Thought I'd just add on to this instead of creating a new thread but I was thinking about getting this header. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-10...Q5fAccessories I haven't done anything to my 8 yet and was wondering what I would need if I just installed a header? Some people on this thread were saying a custom midpipe would be needed for that BHR header they were talking about but does that apply to any header? I just don't wanna order this header and come to find out I was suppose to get a custom midpipe or flux capacitor installed along with the header lol.

To answer your question, no that is a direct bolt on.

LOL ok sweet I just didn't want to mess anything up with the engine or exhaust by only installing headers for now.

The picture is 100% accurate and represents exactly where BHR was at that moment in time with the header. However if they made any changes to the header design then the picture does not represent the current model.

Wouldnt it be more cost efficient to make the header longer so that it attaches to a catback and not require a midpipe between the header and catback.

sure it would be loud, but if you are spending that much $ to buy a header for barely any hp... just deal with the noise.

I WANT a catalytic converter in my exhaust as long as I can't get the exhaust emissions levels I want without one.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure a long header can actually add some power compared to anything else. I'm really excited to see this come to light! I don't want to get a header until it's a BHR one.

That's placing the inlet of the cat "6 inches" from the back (outlet) of the stock converter.

Let us do some measuring.

So, it was being test fitted in June 2011, but were now in June 2012. I understand people want a midpipe and a cat, but does the header actually fit and work?

Sometimes due to other projects and customers and the company growing we sometimes get a little behind with our upcoming products. This doesn't mean they have been forgotten, it just means that something else in the company is taking priority at the moment.
Believe me there is no one else that want's these new products out as fast as BHR does. But to make quality, functional and reliable parts that live up to our standards, it can take time.
We have put a lot of time, energy and money into each one of our offerings. And we will not compromise our integrity or reputation by offering inferior or unproven products.

The header is very close to being done and put into production. It really is just a matter of a few more weeks. Then we will begin testing of the finished product. Yes the header will fit. And yes the header will work. But we want it to work better than any other header offering out there. Don't you? Making the best product is not an easy or instant process.
