Can this be done whitout sending the units back to canzoomer ? rotor the cz units you are most likely reffering to were mine that jeff was kind enough to re-map for me .
Now they are here in Australia one of them is on my ride , however the ecu keeps on altering the settingson the CZ every few days , and i have to re-connect it to fool it and get it to work properly .

Maurice e-mailed me a file that should convert the blue to the gold version (the programming cable is needed) with a simple upload. I haven't had time to actually run it yet (figuring if i'm gonna start from scratch i might as well wait for the new flash and my high flow cat), but i did do some searching on the net and the gold and blue versions are running the same hardware but with a few tweaks to the hardware needed - apparently maurice was able to get around this with some program changes.
I'm not sure how his programming changes were made and if it works for all emanages or just his because of how its wired - the other conversion i saw required some light soldering to the board to work with the new firmware. Maurice confirmed he use to need to do some hardware mods but just recently came across doing it this way.
If the ecu is changing things on you, make sure your maps are completely blank below 5500 rpms. Also if your running the gold version you should be using the maf setting for our car instead of the old general mazda one - which means then negative values in the map learn the car out instead of positive ones.

The Blue can be converted to Gold with just a firmware flash, though some of us have also done the small hardware upgrade that appears to be uneccesary.
All you need is the Support Tool and the cable.
BTW - the Ultimate comes with the appropriate Support Tool (used to be a seperate ($100 or so) and uses a standard USB cable now.
That is what I use, minus the gauge. My Profec reads the output for me.
So would I. I listen for ping pretty actively, but I'd rather the PCM have something to say about it.
Thanks. Where are you going?
I don't have a CZ. I have an E-Manage, though I get your point.
The AFR auto-tune feature from Hau requires seperate software and you loose the TPS input.
The Ultimate retains the TPS and boost input along with the seperate A/F input.
Plus it has a ton of programmable output features which would be really useful.

The Innovate LC-1 Wideband Controller & XD-1 Programmable Digital Gauge, Bosch 5-wire Wideband 02 Sensor, Bung/Plug Kit, Software CD, and owners manual.
Do you think this would be a good controller for tuning and setting up the Ultimate to chash an AFR?

Should I burn the new bung for the LC-1 right next to the stock one? Does it matter how close it is to the CAT?

Ex- member.
For the most accurate readings you want to place it before the cat. I have the RP supercat also and I've included a pic of where I put the O2 bung. My LC-1 and XD-1 will arrive sometime next week. I also bought the extender plus I will make a heat sink as per Innovates instructions on their site (copper).
Copper heatsink info on this page. question #3 and 4.

Otherwise, it is the same two plugs with the wires in the same position.

I think it just rubbed off on Greddy, though they only made it so in the installation manual, not in reality. :p
I just left the jumper in the factory position, so it was never an issue.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some specs for safe tuning my vehicle. I live in Rochester NY and there is not really anyone close by with experience on a rotary engine.
I basically don't want the added feature of flames shooting out the back of the car.
Here's a list of mods that are on my 8
Ram air scoop w/ screens, SRMotorsports MAF, B&B midpipe & Exhaust, Emanage Ultimate, Unothodox UDP's
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The Gold is an update to the Blue that adds a new MAP - the accelleration MAP - which is quite useful.
The Greddy turbo kit comes with the Gold E-Manage.
The Ultimate is an entirely different animal with far more inputs and outputs as well as better control over fuel, spark and A/F feedback.
