We were planning on shipping units yesterday but the wrong parts came in for assembly, we have over nighted the required parts and will be shipping by the weekend. My apologies for all orders waiting.

Do these work on any RX 8? Mainly I'm interested if they will work on aan 09? Have you done any testing at all with 09 models?

We have not done testing on an 09 but results would be similiar. We have not read any differences with fitment in terms of the relay or oil cooler design. But if there are any concerns after installation we would be more than willing to get it taken care of.

If you could take pictures of the fuse box in the engine compartment and the rear of the oil cooler kit. We just do not have access to a '09 ourselves.

I'll see if I can snap some photos. I know some of the wiring is different as I tried to do the sunroof power mod and the wires are completely different. I think everything in the engine should be the same though.

I'm willing to be the guinea pig for any parts :-).

Many people will say the oil cooler fan will not work. I know at speed the oil fans will not aid in cooling, but its when i am sitting in traffic the fans kick on to cool my oil temps. Also my oil cooler is pretty beat up so having a fan helps with the cooling

They are not available. Good idea though, they although they may inhibit flow at speed but that would have to be documented.

The install is fairly easy just time consuming. But the fan works great.

I agree. I had brought this up with my wife as a mod I wanted to make and it led to a very unpleasant argument (cash flow is tight) because she didn't think my car needed it; but then this Summer has been pushing records in our area and my daughter naps in my car more easily than in hers, so we get where we are going and my wife wants me to sit with the car idling after 3+ hours of highway driving so it can keep the AC running, so my coolant temps are seeing insane levels. Luckily I switched to Evans coolant, so it's staying in the engine and not boiling over; but I have no idea what my oil temps are doing.

That's very depressing. I'd truly hoped they were still available. I guess I'll have to find my own solution. Can anyone who did get in on this tell me what diameter the fans were?

I've been back since July, and still haven't installed mine. I'll let it go $175 shipped. I'll post it in the FS section later tonight.

If anyone is still interested in these oil cooler fans, they have them for sale at RX8performance.com. I just recieved mine and a quick call answered my questions on the different wiring solutions. We usually run a 1.8 mile track with 11 turns and not many places to build up speed for cooling, these should be just the ticket.

Waste of money, cheap fans, more of a restriction at speed, totally useless.
