i had the corksport, which the early ones had the same mufflers as the mazdaspeed basically the same exhaust with different tips.
well with the stock cat it droned a little at ~74 mph where i do most of my cruising.
with a resonated midpipe it was just to loud! you really have to get a ride is stuff to know for sure..
but i am a bit more mature than most here, loud gets old real fast. and i do put lots of miles on my car.

sweet! makes my exhaust system ultra rare then LOL
it's kinda sad to see/hear such a well crafted product get discontinued due to lack of consumer interest.
IMO, it's one of the best looking catback that I've seen for the RX8. Not to mention that it weighs 19 lbs. for the entire system, almost half the weight of the stock RX8 muffler (not a big fan of the giant oval mufflers) and simply sounds awesome.
I really like the ultra medalion on my Rx8 and I think the $975 (shipped) was worth every penny.
OP, if the price is not an object to you, I'd recommend the RE-Amemiya super dolphin tail muffler or RE WING (full titanium from tip-flange)
