wow sorry to hear about your clutch issues....350 is a steal. most places charge a lot..i dunno why since teh 8 is rear wheel drive it's pretty sinple to replace teh clutch in it. I jus tdid the flywheel on my car..took 3 1/2 hours..and tha tincluded b.s.ingm with the guys at work (i am a tech at a toyota dealership) adn jerry rigging a tool to use a puller for the stock flywheel (i had no access to mazda's speacial service tool). but for an exsperienced tech they can do it in about 2-3 hours easy. so 350 is a steal indeed (my dealership would've charged you about 600+ to do it).
p.s. good luck and post what you think of the new clutch.
p.p.s. don't forget to brake the new clutch in.

Alright, AAMCO already started working on the work so I just let them do it. The flywheel had to be cut because of a slight burn mark on the disk. Not getting the car till tomorrow afternoon - new clutch looked really nice, organic
Our oem stock clutch (exedy) is also organic, not sure if there is a difference between the one I bought and the one there going to put in, they look pretty much the same to me. Same material.. the disc is blue lol

Just went in the shop before it closed to check out my flywheel, let me tell you... that thing weighs a TON - I feel like a retard for not buying a new one.. anyway, they cut the flywheel and it looks FANTASTIC.
They should I should be driving tomorrow around 3 pm.

Sure thing, btw those feathers look so sweet in person... the entire clutch weighs as light as a whistle.. although the pressure plate (didnt take a picture) weighs a TON!

Well it grabs like a beast....... created a bit of dead pedal which will need to be adjusted... and the kick back on the clutch pedal is definitly there... if your going to get a new clutch don't forget to get an aluminum flywheel - you'll be dissapointed if you don't.
Overall, the clutch is nice.. but it feels more of a race car now. Definitly a lot faster shifting.
Heads up: STAY AWAY FROM AAMCO IN PERTH AMBOY, or AAMCO IN GENERAL FOR CLUTCH/TRANNY JOBS. THEY ARE WHAT YOU CALL "TEXT BOOK" MECHANICS!

They took apart my ******* transmission, all I asked for was a clutch to be replaced.

So, how is that clutch holding up? I am about to buy that same one plus the flywheel from ebay. 800 bucks seem like a good price. I was leaning towards a Mazdaspeed clutch and RB flywheel but, this is a little cheaper. So, I need some info. Thanks.
