Cool Esmiril Racing Ignition Upgrade

Has anyone tried these coils? Just wondering since these are the same guys that are putting down 414 WHP on the turbo RX8. It's going for $395.00 ?!?! That's a pretty good price.

Just wondering if anyone has tried these out yet.

I think he is trying to say they are not plug and play..you need to cut and solder/crimp the OEM harness to fit them

The BHR harnesses help and they are $125, shipped, with little to no wait, a very clean install, and from the guys who invented the harness in the first place. Kudos to Chris from Esmeril for understanding and respecting this.

Looking at the pictures in the link, yes. Also looking at other pictures I am confident that the BHR harness will end up having the best fitment in all other regards, as well, since Esmeril uses the same coil location spot BHR does; the factory coil location. BHR can also make harnesses and plug wires to fit the Esmeril kit as long as you need them to be. Need a 50-foot set of harnesses and wires? No problem. The BHR harness also works with the supposedly-backordered MSD 8247 coils (although I have dozens of THOSE available too with more on the way right now so I don't know what that "backorder" story is all about).

Make sure to let Brice know, willya?

Yes Ray is right. It will fit. I installed mine over the weekend and it fits nicely. Make the engine bay look clean and simple.

Damn mah bad! I admit I got lazy this time and didn't really search. I was just wondering what coils they were using to be specific, LS2, Bosch, MSD etc.

I was just curious, damn nail me to the cross DOM.
