Since your friend is so smart and well informed why don't you directly ask him instead?
In all seriousness, even running wth a modified intake manifold set-up the gains are minimal and restricted to a particular rpm range, i would really like to hear what he reckons to be the reason of those gains!
Please let him join here and we will all be happy to learn something new!
