CZ Stage 1 warranty work done?
My dealer told me that it would void my warranty but I can't imagine they would really give me that much crap or look that closely unless needed. Has anyone had any warranty work done with the CZ stage 1 in? If so did they notice or give ya any crap about it? Also does anyone have a pic of it installed so I can get any idea of how obvious it is? Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Plus, remember, the dealer gave you the short answer. The real answer is actually dictated by law.
If your modification causes the failure of a part that is covered by warranty, then the warranty for that part may be voided. While a piggyback has the ability to affect most anything in the drive train, the short answer from the dealer is VOID, but when it comes down to it they would have to prove that the modification caused the failure on the part (each and every part) that they will not cover under warranty.
From what everybody says, CZ's piggyback is untraceable after it has been removed (I think). So after removal, a mechanic shouldn't be able to fault any part failure to modifications.
I would certainly suggest reading through all the threads in CZ's vendor forum for confirmation though. There have been several people that have had their cars into dealers for work after having used Stage1, and I don't know of anybody reporting a problem.

I've taken mine in for two oil changes and two recalls, and left the Stage 1 installed and on both times. It is completely covered and there is no reason for them to take off the cover. The ECU reflashes are done from a connection under the steering wheel, and they do not have to open the box.
The Stage 1 easy to remove, but not necessary in most situations.

If you leave the unit in the car and the dealer finds it
then no more warrenty.
or else they wont find it and you can still leave it in.
and if they tell you no more warrenty you get stuck in this infinate loop thing and that can really suck. Then you gotta do all the debugging yourself :D
