Counterweight needed on new flywheel purchase?
Sorry for being a noob, I searched but nothing came up.
I'm getting my engine replaced so meantime I'd want a lighter flywheel installed too.
I'm thinking about the Racing Beat Flywheel, but my question is...
Do I need a new counterweight? And if I do, what kind? OEM? Cuz that's the only thing they sell on RB

haha nice! are you replacing the clutch along with the fly wheel? it's kind of a PITA to do one or the other but If you are doing one, couldn't hurt to do the other since it's all apart!
I went with the ACT 6 puck hd clutch with the pro-light fly wheel and I love it. The engagement is a kick in the pants

The counterweight is needed on most aftermarket flywheels. The OEM flywheel has it built in. The specs for the counterweight are all the same, whoever you get it from. It's the same counterweight that is used on the cars with automatic transmissions.
