Exclamation 04-08 MT owner needed for Mizu install

We've received feedback from pro racers, including drifters and dragsters that have seen an average of 20 degree decrease in engine temps on the track, but want to give RX8Club members a chance to put the product through the nitty gritty. We are looking for volunteers to perform and install and review in exchange for a Mizu cooling setup (Aluminum radiator and fan shroud kit) on the house.

We're looking for an installation on the vehicle, a how-to posted for the benefit of community members, complete with pictures. We'd also like for the product to be tested out after installation and for you to share your findings and opinion on the product with us. If you have access to a dyno, hand held tuner, or some at home equipment, even better.

If you're interested, please PM with your vehicle setup along with the metering tools (dyno, tuner, etc.) tools at your disposal.

What is Mizu?
Mizu is a Japanese-made line of high performance cooling products.

Their hand-welded aluminum racing radiators feature a thicker radiator core and fin density, as well as 2 cooling rows. While street drivers will love to cool look of Mizu's products, the true benefits call out to racers or extreme modders who are looking to decrease the vehicle weight and increase cooling efficiency.

Mizu's Aluminum fan shroud kits should be used along with the radiator to ensure maximum cooling efficiency.

Some vehicles may also benefit from Mizu's silicone hose kits, which feature 3 layers of high grade silicone and embedded fibers to create a long-life product that increases heat reduction.

CFM Specs on those fans?

OEM is 1700 and 1300 CFM. I have never found an aftermarket 12" fan that can touch that.

I take that back. A 12" spal fan is almost 1700 and a 11" is almost 1300 CFM. Hmm, I wonder if.... Yep probably.

Been Here and Done All This - the Mizu radiator and fan shroud is good, the fans are crapola, and yes the SPAL's move less air than the OEM's and are quieter to boot - just be careful which SPAL you select as there are many models. Presumably you can get a SPAL to move the same air as the OEM's, but with the dual core in the rad itself, probably not necessary. The complete post :
