Yeah i think you are right. was told that it should take 400hp at the flywheel. but surely if i was running 380 at the flywheel id be better going for stage 2?

You might also consider the BHR line... he has a very light flywheel/clutch combo with various stages.

it didnt sound like you were 100% settled on the exeddy so you might want to consider this. At the very least, his flywheel would be an option. It is one of the lightest out there (if not -the- lightest) for the rx8. Hope this helps!

Man, We Ain't Found Sh*t!
i have the fidanza flywheel and it's lovely.. until you get your FI going, it will be a bit more challenging to get the car going smoothly from a stop but in the end will make you a better driver.. this is my own personal opinion and i'm no guru

Charles I didnt mean to sound like I was knocking your product. I didnt even read the first few posts of this thread. Im sure your setup works good. Im just relating my experience with ACT. Spec makes nice clutches as we have used many of them, but for the average RX-8 owner I dont see the need to spend a fortune on a clutch/flywheel.

Craig: any particular reason why you're going with the Mazsport? The new MM / BHR kit looks to be a GREAT system with better tuning. (AcessPORT vs Int X)
Price wise it's much cheaper then the Mazsport.

Except the Mazsport has more potential for those that will push to 400whp and beyond.

^^^ and what's that gonna cost ya???
I am a fan of the Mazsport kits but to hit 400whp, we're talking a whole different pricetag then the standard type 1 price.

yeah that too. im looking to push 400rwhp.
The BHR kit is designed for north american cars, my car is euro spec so it wont do. the accessport wont work for a start and some piping may not fit. but primarily its the access port

I just noticed I completely hijacked this thread with talk about the turbo. Sorry, just figured CRH and others had the flywheel issue in good hands
