PE Chips for the ECU

I've been on Ebay just browsing and I am wondering if its worth my time to purchase one of the chips that regulate the airflow/fuel consumption. they brag about more power, smoother idles, better fuel efficiency etc... but i figure if they are for real, I would hear more about them and everyone would have them.

Anyone know of a chip I can use that works, or if they are even worth the effort?

Thanks

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm kind of new to the "owning a sexy car thing" haha

they do not work.
do not waste your money, none of those "chips" are compatible with our PCM.

Send us the money instead...it will work better...at least you might get some valuable information.

The ECU is way to smart to fall for a resistor in the MAF trick....as far as that goes..they didn't even work on older cars.....

It is a money making scam...typical E-bay stuff....

What you want to look at is the Cobb AccessPort.

It essentially does what you said, plus many other invaluable things.

i love the blatant lies some of these people actually list in their ebay adds for the chips...I was on there the other day and saw one that actually claimed up to 100+ horsepower increase and up to 25+ mpg extra. I really dont know how they get around the laws and actually list an add like that....crazy

and no whatever you do, dont try and get one of these "resistor" chips and stick it anywhere near this car
