Apparently, the seller is extremely uncooperative about this transaction. Everything is flawed. Although the unit arrived and looks to be new, the seller has “breached contract” on a number of occasions. Originally, it was agreed that the seller would send the CANScan RX8 USB system – where a USB is attached to the OBD2 port itself. However, the seller shipped a CANScan RX8 DB9 System, which integrates RS-232 Cable within the unit. What he has shipped to me has no value to me because I cannot use it, and he shipped the wrong package. It was bought from the sales column of the www.rx8club.com online forum. I have most of the responses and pm’s (private messages) that outline the terms of our sale. He has agreed to ship the USB package, “so you have the canscan with all the hardware ... USB right?” (said by myself), and he replied “yes”: “Yes, I have the usb port, the CD's, the obdII reader.. everything” Although he knew what he was shipping, he shipped the wrong item in that the CANScan unit itself is clearly marked that it is the RS-232 Cable plug unit. He even shipped the packing list which clearly states that it is NOT USB!! In addition, he only included ONE of the TWO required software CD’s needed for installation. I have all sources of information ready for review, Saved (minus numerous phone calls). So if you require that information, it is saved on the database at www.rx8club.com which I will gladly forward you the information. He has breached the contract on a number of occasions – but most importantly, he failed to ship the correct items (which we agreed on). Please take appropriate measures to take care of this situation. Thank you, the service team at paypal!"

that was basically my conflict summary to PAYPAL. he also breached contract in that he shipped late, and i lost money from a dyno appointment.

LONG STORY SHORT: DOES THE PACKAGE COME WITH ONE OR TWO CD'S FROM CANZOOMER? He only shipped me the CANZOOMER CD... but from many sales forums, it looks as if there are 2 software cd's.

If htis thread gets closed, fine, i'm pissed off... but i just want to state that x28 is a scumbag, and i have ALL PM's to review if you want to see them...

someone pm me with the answer -- 2 cd's with canzoomer's tuning... or just one?

hey dannobre, the cd that was included was the canzoomer cd. when i installed it, the greddy e-manage thing came up. That's for the OBDII right?

and now, i need a canzoomer software as well? b/c nothing about the canzoomer unit came up.

yeah he is selling his 8 right? i was looking into it he says its like flawless and excellent condition and crap (before i got my 8) and i was interested so i found all the post on him on the forum... he was talking about how he had like a fender accident, how he autox it, and like all these problems but in the ad never lists one of the, very shaddy.. i dont think i would ever trust him
