I am sure others have the Borla (or Greddy) without the finishers and have not reported a problem.

You can't install it any higher -- the aftermarket exhaust tips leave little room for adjustment.

If you are planning on getting a CZ Stage 1 or Stage 2, I would suggest just getting the finishers -- CZ has reported higher exhaust temps that stock -- I think he melted the plastic around his stock exhaust while testing his unit.

Im still leaning twords the B&B if you look at their dyno graphs they are so impressive to say the least. The sound is awsome perhaps a little too loud though and the HP and tqyou gain at 5-7k is just extrmely good. As for the looks it couldnt get any better IMHO. If Vivids goal was to gain the trust of the RX8 community by being seen as a passionate no bullshiat type of fellow willing to provide awsome customer service I think hes succeeded with me.

I dont like Greddy much since my RSX and what other owners there had to go through. The Greddy exhaust does sound nice on the clips I just think the tips look a little too big for my taste.

The Borla I dont really like at all after I saw the one at the auto show. The way the exhaust is made there is a rounded part in the tip that collects lots of exhaust soot and it looks relaly nasty even at the auto show. The sound I must say is very nice there is no way to dispute that. The price is awsome as well. When they made the borla for the RSX It was the first one out as well maybe thats the market of the Borla exhaust the eager beavers. It made good hp and looked very decent indeed. So this is very consistint with this exhaust as well.

Hks I have no experience with really.

The RE Exhaust looks awsome and sounds great. But we still know too little about this I feel.

Racing Beat looks good .....thats about it really I wish we had more info on it. Im still waiting on them before i get the B&B. Only because every other 7 owner ive talked to even Miata owners tell me wait for Racing Beat. So here I wait. Whats really awesome about racing beat in my opnion is they have a very awsome history built upon the rotary. They have been there the whole time seen the changes and I assume can see where things are going. So I just cant count them out. I just hope the marketing angle does not interfere with the goal of power.

RX8 store would be my third choice because of the sound the pics ive seen look great.

In the end I believe the best exhaust will come from those with a passion for what they are doing. Sometimes

Oh crap I missed the whole point!

On that note Id get the Borla if it was out of the two It sounds so nice and the Tips dont seem as large as the greddy and Mr Borla does show that he cares about his products that means a good deal to me even if he was just going through the motions.
