BHR Midpipe
I'm sure he has. A wideband O2 in someone's nose would enable them to instantly tell if the care they were smelling is running lean or rich. Since Jeff already can, I'm guessing he already has the WBO2 in his nose.
New BHR offering maybe?

By "fail the visual" you meant when the cops scooping around under the car?
I really just want to have fun with my 8 while staying out of trouble/ stay legal...nothing too crazy. Already have a B&B exhaust that's making enough music, would like to hear the midpipe at SS and go from there.
I always have the concern of B&B (used) is actually making too much music than what it's supposed to (had the muffler shop do some touch ups due to some leaks) , however I'm able to manage it as DD. Really like to have someone to check it out if it's tone is normal or not. If possible.
Stinky without cat?
When everyone talks about the stick ya get from mid pipe... is that a fuel rich stink? or that rotten egg smell?
I can live with a rich fuel stink... but not so sure the wifey would like rotten eggs in the cabin all the time...
Thanks.

I actually find that the rotary's exhaust smell is generally sweeter than piston engines. Still fuel laden, but sweeter. If that makes sense.
I think it's from the oil burning, but
The diesel's that people run on vegetable oil, they say you can tell from the exhaust smell what the oil was used for before using it as fuel, so it makes sense that we would have a different smell than pistons, although I don't know if some oil brands or premix types smell different

smells like gas and exhaust to me. Not much else to say.
FYI I'm gonna try to get an unofficial sniffer done here in Norway. I'd guess it's stricter here than most other places outside of Europe (perhaps except California).
If I can't get that done I may just swap it out before the inspections, I bet that will be easier all the other times than the first time I'm taking the stock catpipe off
As long as it doesn't sound like a crazy ricer I doubt cops will be sniffing me up.

FWIW I bought the the CAT version and will take it through the Oregon DEQ and report back with the results. It would be great for anyone that gets one to do the same and then we can build up a running list where it has passed.
I did some research. Ticket could be anything from a fix it ticket to $2000+, and possible impound. Sounds like most people get a fix it, if anything. Unless the officer is certified they have to refer you to a state referee station, at which point you put on your cat and then pay the fix it. CHP are more likely to be ******** about it than local cops. Imo the silencers will prob look like cats to the officer, so if you weren't shooting flames you are prob good, although you'll always be at the cops mercy to some extent if they get you. That's what I got out of my 15 min of looking.
