I havea feeling that bythe time this thing comesout youll already be able to buy F/I

AEM couldhave made a shitload of cash if they gotten this thing out sooner - like this past summer

I think the reason these aren't coming out is because they can't make any gains and they only cause problems (bad idle).

A reputable company is not going to release a product like that and ruin their name. Either they take their time and do it right or scrap the project.

Why wait? when you could do it yourself. It would be alot cheaper and you probably get the same horse power that they are getting. Cold air intake is really easy for the 8, you just have to take the time to it. About 45 minutes top.

My guess is AEM has abandoned the idea as there is little to gain and we already have a cold air system. Save your money and just by a K&N filter, and or, the RB intake.

Even the RB intake, though being a quality product, isn't going to show much (if any) real power gain. I'm sticking with stock until FI becomes readily available for the 4 port motor.

Patience guys, i have faith in AEM products and i am sure it will be release soon.
Good things are always good to wait :p

I saw something similar to AEM, except the "CONE" is installed at the "oil Cooler" section. (Those 8 with only have 1 oil cooler). Hope it's not a copy of the AEM :D

guys, give it up. You don't want a tube with a cone filter, your going to end up giving up variable air induction function from the stock intake system which is not good. Go with the racing beat system which takes the best of the stock system and improves on it with a better filter and box.

Again, any tube type system is not going to get you anything, in fact you may lose power.

$440!!!! Holy crap! That thing better come with a third rotor and case of beer. Talk about overpriced for what will probably turn out to be underperformance.

If it's that easy to make money off of a cone filter on a tube, I'm going to start building!

well, I put on the typhoon system and I did not notice anything except more noise. (BTW I like more noise)
Then I added a racing beat exhaust and still more noise but not much performance. When I updated to the M ECU load everything opened up. A lot more performance! I got rid of the variable intake tract and there is a rougher idle now, but even more performance and better mileage.

And it's not even the only thing out on the market. I just paid a ridiculous sum of money for my gauge pod, but that is because there aren't very many brands out there. I got one & it seriously sucked, now I just spent $415 on another one. Damn. With the intakes you have the Rotary Extreme, K&N, HKS, soon the Racing Beat. If AEM doesn't offer some serious discount on the street price they aren't going to sell many.
