All of that patient waiting just to find out that it doesn't fit. What a **** tease. (Nothing personal Slick thanks for trying)

But anyway we already know that FEED's 4.778 fits fine, just need more people on here to install it.

So much for getting one at $296 though.

Here's a wild idea. Swap the rear differential with one from an S2k?

Arrow Tire calculator.....

Try the Miata guys' tire calculation - a 255 wide tire would be 13% lower "geared".....

I was very much hoping this would work. Considering the price Mazda sells the 5.12 ring and pinion for the RX8, this would have been a much cheaper solution.

RING & PINION, 5.12
RX-8
13B RENESIS
2004-2005
$3,574.85

Notes:
RX-8 5.12 RING AND PINION
I guess FEED would be the next best bet, but why the large disparity in the price difference

I bet the guy who tried it and found out it won't work will sell it to you rather cheap ... next time try reading, it's an easy way to be properly informed

ps: your english teacher at UTI should be fired

Someone needs to buy the FEED gear and give us some performance figures. It'd also be nice if Fab8, who as far as I know is the only person on this forum that owns one, could provide some.

This thread officially achieved "hilarity" when this was posted at 6:51AM (considering page 20) :

Just curious, what do you do with all the spare time you save by leaving out letters like "An", "Yo", "g", etc.? After a hundred posts, you might have saved as much as a dozen seconds, I'd wager!

People have used Kia rear ends in older RX-7's before. You'd be surprised at how many parts from other cars have been transplanted.
