I live in Atlanta, but was in Raleigh staying with some friends when I was up for the UNC vs. Tech game. My dad went to Chapel Hill and I am a die hard fan. I love that school with my entire being, but sadly I probably will not be able to get in. But, anyways, we were on the interstate and I saw 2 RX-8's! Ya'll have a lot more than I see in ATL, but one was a VR that read "DA CAJUN" or something to that effect on the tag and another was just a BB with clears, no really defining characteristics that I could see in the dark. I am also pretty sure that the VR had a RB exhaust, but I could be wrong. Anyways, I figured that guy has to be a member here so... anybody?

Hey,
ZoomZoom when did you see me on the interstate and which one?
Yep my license plate is "DA CAJUN", be having that plate ever since I move up to NC from Louisiana.
I'm also a big UNC fan since my wife went to school there, nice college good basketball team.
Nic, I don't have the RB exhaust but I do have their intake. I also have RP short shifter, which I believe is a must have for the manual trans 8s.

Hey RJ,
The next meet isn't until the 9th of Dec. We hold our meets at the CharGrill on Strickland Rd in Rawley, the 2nd and 4th Saturday of evey month, meets start about 5:30 pm. I am interested in the kit. But I'm not able to drop the cash for it until after the new year.

Ok, I can't say I will hold it but it will be yours if noone else jumps on it, I need the money anyway getting ready to move into an apartment and have to pay all those annoying fees. But however I willing to work something out if nothing else.. I will be there on the fifth, if anyone is truly interested in the kit I will arrange a meeting to see it.. But looking forward to seeing you guies soon, I might bring my friend with me he has a MS 6..

Yep, I was coming back from one of the RRDI meetings. It was probably on 40 or 540 that you saw me. Let us know next time you are in the area, maybe you can drop by one of the meets.

Hi guys! I'm new to Charlotte area...recently moved from Michigan. I work in Uptown Charlotte and own a Titanium Grey 2006 RX-8 GT. I have seen a few 8s in uptown. I see a silver, black and red one everyday. Very interested in RX-8 meets.
Before the 8 I drove a 2002 Celica GTS which was heavily modified, including a greddy turbo, lambo doors, Vizage JDM kit, 18" ADRs, custom interior and a lot of other cool things.
Work on the 8 will commence soon. Still researching what's out there for the 8 and what others have done so far. Abolutely enjoying the 8; however the rattles are starting to get to me as I only have 5k miles on the car and this unacceptable.
Anyways, just wated to introduce myself. Hopefully, I can meet some of you folks at an RX-8 meet.
