Well..I can't be there...I went to pick up the 8 from having the oil changed and they told me not to drive to Raleigh with the tires in such shape..they told me the wires were not only thru but broke in two in many places..and none of the tire places had the tires on site..had to get them from the warehouse and everything was closing yesterday when we had to leave to come down..so I had to drive the other car to the show...We just drove on back home

So...I missed the meet. I missed it due to me forgetting about the NC State game. Looks like I should've gone to the meet instead.

Anyway, I'm in Raleigh, NC I would love to meet some local 8's. You may see me around. I have all logos and decals removed from the rear deck. However, most noticable is my license plate, which is the same as my screen name. Sometimes I think it draws too much attention, the purpose of it was to be difficult to read for the daily driver or a red-light photo cam. Now it seems to be a novelty for kids and their parents to try and figure it out at EVERY light. Sometimes it doesn't pay to want to be anonymous. Oh well...it still looks sweet, especially at +100 mph.

BTW...I've seen BLUBYU somewhere around. I don't remember where.

Is there a trip going to The Gap this March...I know I read something about but haven't seen anything in the last few months of postings. Anyway, if not we totally should set something up.

i think you guys should come to asheville for our club meet sometime so we can drive on these crazy roads i got here! BLUBYU was at the BOTD this year and from INDYRX8club... pm me if you guys wanna come up for some meets while its still somewhat good weather!

 

I didnt make it either.. It took about 5 hours to replace the clutch,ensor and tires.. But I got it done and now.... The other sensor is out LOL.

There are quite a few rotary meets this weekend!! There is one in Asheville, Raleigh and Wilmington for anyone interested in the areas.... Raleigh will be meeting at Southern states Mazda on Wake Forest Rd... Asheville will be meeting at hooters around 2 PM and Wilmington will be meeting at Hugh McCray park @ 11 going to lunch, gokarting etc....

 

^I think all of you should go to the Asheville meet. You know you want too.

 

I would like to travel to Asheville and check out some of your killer roads, but I need to stay close to home for work reasons.

Definitely gonna have to schedule another time for a Asheville area get together. I've heard of some very nice roads that rival the dragon around there. One area one of the other locals members mentioned was Happy Valley or Pleasant Valley (something to that effect) between Bowling rock and Asheville.

 

yea i know that route... pretty long one though- there are plenty of roads right next to where i live in town. I will probably have a meet every other weekend atleast with the locals so anyone who ever wants to come is welcome to let me know and i will put something together.

well actually i pay for everything they find out that i have a turbo kit on so i bought the engine at mazmart and i'm in the procces now to finish the swap now i let you know when i;m up and running again

 

hello all... i know im a bit late to this one, but hey... better late than never right? Anyway, Im in Jacksonville, NC stationed @ MCB Camp LeJeune... Originally from Albemarle, in Stanley county NC. Driving a currently stock nordic green 05 rx8... not going to be quite so stock when i get home from Iraq in May... still not going to be too wild with it... The list as it stands right now is the RB ram air intake, SR motorsports pullies, SR high flow cat, greddy sp2 exhaust, autoexe tower brace set, axial flow shifter, mazsport ignition, RB three gauge pod, a new set of tires, BFG's maybe, and a couple other minor goodies.
