BTW...the Tanabe's are very aggressive. I like them but I should have waited to change out the shocks at the same time. New adjustable shocks will be next.

Got my 08 40th about 2 months ago exactly - have had great success autocrossing it as well, both with Tarheel and Cape Fear. I live in Raleigh (Brier Creek area) but have friends all over, I've ended up in Greenville most of the past few weekends...

Hey... I've recently been seeing a sunlight silver 8, mazdaspeed body kit and wing with stock wheels running around the wilmington area. Looks like a girl is driving. Any idea who it could be?

 

^Janna is the only girl in wilmington that i know but hers is black...maybe she knows her?

I'm in Charlotte - I got a black 08 MT with RB REVI intake. Looking to add the cold air duct and high flow cat. I usually do all my auto work at my brothers house in Angier since he's got all the tools.

I'm from Raleigh but live in Dallas. In about 2 years I'll be finding my way back to NC, somewhere near Asheville.

 

I'm in the Pineville area, Park Rd & 51 right now. In the spring we'll be relocating to Rock Hill.

 

I am surprised to see so many NC. Are there tons of insect splatters on the windshield, after every day of rx8 commuting? NC looks like a good place to retire, like Asheville, but the bugs population has be worried, and the condition of roads unsuitable for rx8.

 

^I don't know where you're driving, the roads are fine. Tons of twisty's here.

 

^Yeah I don't know where you were driving to thing the bugs were that big of a problem...I'm in Charlotte and i've never had a problem...

Hey everyone, after many years and many RX-7s, I've made the leap to the RX-8.
An 06 Red Shinka with 19k on her. Just happened to stumble on the the right car in the right place at the right cost/time. Love her to death!! Can't wait for the Dragon and any meets in the area. Anybody on this side of the state get together??

BTW, is there a better/cheaper way to replace the smart key than thru the dealer?
