You can touch it, but you can't let go.

Just had mine re-done to take some camber out of the rear and add some in the front.
My rear springs have settled so much that my camber increased from -2.0 to -2.5 deg in just 3 mos.
I wanted to reset my rear camber to -1.5 deg but I'm out of adjustment probably because my springs have settled so much and just might be bad. Jeff could only take out the half added since my last alignment. Sux. RB is sending me some new rear springs.
Long story short.
Front: Increased camber from -0.8 to -1.5 deg
Toe: 0.04" L/R
Rear: Decreased camber from -2.5 to -2.0 deg
Toe: 0.11" L/R

ALighment settings are new to me. Val-- what you have done. Is that ok for street driving also? Why do you have more camber in the rear than in the front? Does that help with power on understeer?
I have not had any alignment since i bought the car in dec 03. Maybe time to get her done.
i also have recently placed a 35 offset wheel on the car. Does that change things?
My car feels pretty neutral on sweepers right now. Good turn in. I do get some understeer in sharp turns(turn 7 and 11 at RA) when i power out.
Suggestions?
thanks Guys

Thanks for the heads up Val. By the way know of an good shops that do a performance alignment. I live in Macon but i can travel a little to get it done right.
By the way guys, I have been communicating with one of the vendors listed on this forum. DPE. This fellow reminds me of Charlie at Mazcare and we all know what he has done and continues to do for us. I inquired abut some new brake pads and since the ones i was asking for was not in stock HE OFFERED TO TAKE SOME OUT OF HIS CAR AND SEND TO ME IF I WAS IN A BIND. Now that is old time racing philosopy. I have never had a business to offer anything like that before(I dont conside Charlie/Mazcare a business anymore they are family). Friends and fellow racers yes but not a business. Also gave me loads of advice. Honest advice. He also will soon have a suspenion package with tein springs, koni's and adjustable whiteline sways for less than $1000. If anyone is interested in buying anything for their cars--and yall know I have never recommended anyone else other than Charlie, check this guy out. He tracks the 8 a lot.
Thats DPE on the vendor sight.

He already has those. Send him a message. price is good and you will get great service. From what I understand the suspenion package deal is a few weeks out.
Grand Turismo huh. Atlanta is ok about 95miles out. Thanks
How did you come about your alignment settings?

I would love to do that, but I want to make sure the person is comfortable with thie idea of me helping them. I know some folks want folks with specific car expereience, which is GREAT, because, that is the best way to learn.
I have taught a lot of cars, but I have no experience, on track, in a RX8. I would love to get a ride, at the least, to see how the car feels.
As for getting the RX8, I have to wait to pay off the Evo, which will be in the next 6 months. I have decided to keep it, because with my wife wanting kid two, I need to hang on to as many sports cars as I can, because I won't be able to replace them.
I will probably get a used one, and do a high-end rebuild, stay non-turbo though, and do some serious suspension and brake work.
