Dave - as I told you at the track, I learned the most while riding with you. First you demonstrated what balancing on the knife edge was all about. Then you showed me how to minimize steering input and use the throttle to steer. Once I saw how you did it, I worked on doing it too. You can tell I am adjusting steering input through some of the turns but I was working on building smoothness and the ability to judge the radius.
Good stuff.

Nabil,

Glad to have helped, however, the proof is in the execution, and well, you got it down.

Also, thanks for the kind comments. You make a 'used to could' driver feel like 'may could again'. I gueniunely appreciate the words, I can't tell you how good I feel about what we all accomplished at the track.

I didn't tell you over the weekend, but I was invited to Modified Mag's tuner / road-race shootout. I was thinking of entering my Evo, and letting my good buddy, a real driver, spin the wheels. I just want to see how my little Evo would fair against the bad boys from JAPAN. I have a sponsor willing to do an engine / turbo upgrade, not to mention complete my suspension to the next level.

After hanging with me and watching me tune my car for the weekend, what do you guys think? I am shooting for a top-ten, not a win.

Ok, I really wish I had video when I went out in Legos car. It would have taken one minute to turn on the car, I just couldn't wait though.

Lesson learned.

I do too. But this way, I can deny that I was screaming like a little girl during the session.

Nabil, your vette killer video has moved to #2 on my website. Behind #1 SuperBikes and ahead of #3 Jeremy Dale's 1995 horrific crash at Road Atlanta.

I hate I never got a ride with the 'Slayer'. Maybe next time, but if he ran down a Vette, an Evo would be lite work. (me races to order more parts to ensure victory over the slayer)
