The GA RX-8 Club is proud to announce that we will be bringing Denny AKA "The Man" with us to the September 24-25th NASA event at Roebling Road. Please ensure that he not only has an enclosed canopy for his car, but that you have at least a dozen new pens on hand for autographs. We ran out last time and he doesn't want to dissapoint any of his piston engined admirers. As his publicist, you will need to book an interview time through me. Saturday morning will be the best time, but please limit the questions to 3 - 4 minutes as that is the time it takes for the rotary to get to temperature. We look forward to the event.

One more thing: please remember that "The Man" likes his coffee black with only two sugars.

I'll have one since I have to change wheels. I'll be changing them friday night at the hotel though and then Sunday before the long drive home.

 

Thanks, I will need it I am sure. Looks like I am going to be on the road all week, till Friday, so I won't have time to do my brakes prior.

Good Roebling weather. I can't wait. I kind of wish it would rain though.

.....requested as my backup should my first request not show....hopefully I can erase my bad first day at RA (long story) last time and move on to DE2 with the rest of the folks for Sunday.

No Rain!!! Last time we were there a freak storm with 30mph winds took out the awning on the camper.......okay, maybe rain, just no freak storms and pray that the huricane keeps moving west....

you guys make me jealous. It is settign up to be a great event. Last weekend at the Ride and Drive, I talked at length with a guy who has been driving that track for years with the Porsche and BMW clubs. He confirmed that it is a little rough on tires.

I have heard that about heavy arsed cars like those.......not so bad for finely tuned and balanced rides such as ours.......

So, why don't you drop what ever you just "have" to do this weekend and come along?......It's not too late......

I'm taking most if not all the day off on Friday, so you just have to tell me where/when you're meeting The Man and I'll be there. Macon is a little out of the way, but I'll be happy to drive a little extra to caravan. Alignment is tomorrow!

 

Almost here! Ok I have been thinking about where to meet up with the convoy. Ok guys it is like this--between Macon and Savannah THERE IS NOTHING. So you will want to gas up and maybe grab a bite to go as we hit the road. Savannah is about 2 hrs away from Macon.
The best place I can think off is the 1st exit off I-!6. After you enter Macon on I -75 you will come to a junction of I-16 and I-75. Off course you will get on I-16 South. Then approx 3/4 of a mile away you will see Spring Street exit on the right(plenty of warning). Take it and bear to the right,--cross the river(on the bridge hopefully) and a Wendy's will be on the right. It's about 1/2 mile from the exit. Lets meet up there. There are gas stations around and things to eat in the general area. So take the 1st exit off I-16 (Spring street) stay to the right and meet me at the Wendy's at about 4:15-4:30pm?
