Have fun guys, I wish I could work this one, but it is not going to happen. I am sure you will all have a blast. Savannah in September is still pretty damn warm.

Well... I may be driving this one? Still a little early but I'm going to try. My son goes to college in Savannah so maybe he will need for me to come see him? :D

who all is driving this one? I am overdue. I know Charlie will not do this track. It is hard on tires but not brakes from what I understand. I will probaly hate double apex turns.
I am seriously considering this one. It probaly will be a little cooler by then. Still warm but a little cooler at night. Anything in oct/nov at RA?

I drove (well, rode) the track with one of the locals there in Savannah and it is a very flat track, has very forgiving run off's, and only one bank (6-7 if I remember correctly). It looks like the designer sat down with a compus(sp) and built the track.
September will be warm but not as humid as is was a couple months ago. Hell, RA last weekend beat the heat at Savannah hands down.
I'll be there. I am driving and when I'm not in class or on the track I am continuing my RC/starter training (I'm gonna have my hands full for the two days).
I think I am also RCing "The Rock" in October.

It is the material the track is made of that eats the tires. Add some camber up front, especially on the left front, and then rotate the tires at lunch. You should be fine, especially with the reduced heat. I have been there a number of times, and this seemd to resolve the issues.

Do you mean RA or Skidpad? Which was worse?

Are they giving you worker credit while you're doing this? If so, I'll work and play too! I'll send am email and ask to see if I can do it.

Skidpads are slick, less friction. Lots of fun! :D

I was thinking more about all the smoke from the skidpad. I don't think that was exhaust smoke.

Well, I'm trying to work out Roebling. My work issue has been taken care of, but there is one other that I (gasp) forgot about. My wife's birthday is the 25th! She doesn't mind, but I kind of feel bad. We should be able to celebrate it early, and I think I can get her a gift that will let me go to Roebling.
