I know that I have booked a room with two double beds, one for me, and Phlash has claimed the other bed in that room. I think someone else has booked a room too, but I am not sure who it was, or if I am dreaming that up.

Yup, actually just called and confirmed they had my resv. Also made sure it was secured with a CC, just in case late arrival. It is always wise to do that btw. Hotels will start giving rooms away after 8 or 9 if they don't think they are getting paid.

TA2 - I requested Phlash as my instructor, and Julie replied that she got the request. But thanks for the offer!

Is it here yet? I can't wait for this one. I may have a guy in our local group talked into going too. I did get him to sign up for a NASA membership. w00t! Hey TA2, I'll need a good instructor for HPDE 2.

Here's a flashback to get you in the mood.... Any of you remember how cold it was there in February? I think 28º comes to mind.

I remember the track feeling very slick in the mornings when it was cold. It took a lap to warm things up enough to go full speed. I also remember being glad to go to class because at least it was inside!

I have my brakes all ready to go. New fluids, pads & front rotors. Nothing else to do to my car but re-install the flame thrower and load er up. It's gonna be a long wait! Although I do need to purchase a new video camera.

hey OMS, what are the odds of getting another tralier hitch video camera mount made before we head off to CMP? I would really like one that is a little more stable than what I have...and since you and I are both drivign this event, borrowign yours is not an option.

Let me look into it next week. If I produce one I'm going to do atleast 10. Let me get it priced out and see what the time frame is and I'll get back to you. I will probably be altering the design to make it lighter. I just haven't gotten back to it yet. Thanks for the nudge. If you haven't heard from me by Wednesday. Yell at me again. I suspect when I get it into production I will make it available to our group first then step it up for others.

EDIT:
L8, I talked with my partner in crime and we will be re-engineering it next week. Fingers crossed we should be in production before CMP. I don't want to have to hire someone to weld so I'm designing it for bending instead. Then we can do it ourselves.

very cool, just keep me posted. I would bet that there would be a few other track ho's that would like one too. I am sure it would not be hard to create a list.

Phlash, do you by chance have an extra set of track tires/wheels I could borrow if needed? Not sure if I will have replacements by then. If you do, I will take a Sunday drive up.

will your insurance give you $$ to replace them? you could get some really nice light weight wheels, if your insurance co. gives you replacement value for the wheels and tires. it might take a few days to get the $$, but it won't take long to order new ones.

If they the deduct use from the cost of replacement then it may not even be worth it to turn it in. However I don't really know what they will cover so I guess I have to call them to find out. SOBitches!

I have a set of V710's on stockers. I don't know if I'll use them again, you never know though. They are in the shed with my other sets of tires for the 7.

If I remember correctly it's the senders job to send varying amounts of voltage

For example:

-If you check the Temp sender's voltage with a completely cold engine you get 7 or 8 volts,

-If you check the Temp sender's voltage with the engine warmed up then you get 10 volts

-If you check the Temp sender's voltage with the engine overheating then you get the full 12 volts.

The value of the voltage off the sender indicates a specific Temp value, or oil pressure value etc.

To verify if that's the case with your car check the Temp sender's value with hot vs cold engine.

I thought senders like those had an output resistance which changed with temperature and the gauge picks up the resistance. There is a specific ohms reading for a specific temperature.

Those are Kumo's right? Are they 17" or 18" and if you are willing... would you loan, rent or sell them to me? Approx. how many track events left? What kind of wheels and how do I get them if you are interested.

Yup, they are Kumho's. 245-35-18. They are on stock wheels. They've got 2 days of Roebling, 2 days of CMP, and 3 days of RoadA on them. They are still pretty sticky. I don't know if I'll be coming up that way between now and then.
