SouthFL -
Find us in the paddocks and set up with us. If you are in DE3 you will have plenty of company to play lead-follow with.
Heck, if they combine DE3 and 4 and the Roar guys show up, there could be 7 or 8 Rx8's out there at once.
L8, OD, OnRails, SouthFL, TA, Rob, Phlash, - will have to see what Kurtbob is driving, and Lego and Don C should be in the 7's. And have to see where Silver ends up.
That my friends is a beautiful thought! A track FULL of mazda's...

OD, I was at Charlies when you called Thurs afternoon. Hope all is going well on the build.
SouthFL - this is a good vid to get an idea of a line. TA driving but probably a little backed off with a passenger. Believe that is SilverEight riding shotgun.
*edit* - Yep, that is Silver - vid is from my first track weekend. I am such a n00b!

Jesus STF--one sick car.
yep if RB had not screwed my clutch kit up i would be up and running this w/e. had to reorder--this time through Charlie--like i should had to begin with.
Yes 1:25 is a pretty good clip at RR but please notice i said ABOVE a 1:25! I have done a 1:25 before and do plan on dialing back some.
my new engine should be great and all should be well and better than ever--thanks for asking --while I was on the phone they said they couldnt talk long because they had an important customer there!
thing about RR is that are different ways of driving that track in the 8--all fun.

My Evo went a 1:19 on RA1's. I have gone 1:17's in a buddy's vette, again track prep. That was on the old pavement as well. On street tires in a bone stock Evo, I have gone a 1:26, again on old pavement. Subtract 3s for times today, at least I think that is what I have heard. I will know in a few weeks. Taking my new track toy down.

The TT track record w/NASA at RR for a basically stock 8 - which is TTD - is 1:24:21
The TTC record in an M3 is actually slower.
The 911's in the faster classes break 1:20.

At any rate, I would love to learn some speed tricks from you guys in May. I found the edge of my ability there last fall and need to learn new things to go faster.
STF - you making it to CMP in April you slouch *** former track ho?

a big part of roebling is getting a drive out of turn 9 and carrying a lot of speed through that first section and that really fast left hand sweeping thing (3 or 4), assuming it's the same with cars...
