Ahhhh, boy did you come to the right place.

The SE forum is where we will be posting the upcoming events all season. Also you should look at TrackAddicts thread, 2008 Track Schedule for a great concept of what's up.

Also, you should join the local club: GARX8Club.com for local events, mountain runs and such.

Marietta is the home of Mazcare which should be on your list to get in touch with as soon as possible and get to know Charlie and the gang. They are our local specialist and tuner shop and damn fine people.

Welcome aboard!

NASA is an organization that you join, in order to participate in High Speed Driver Education (HPDE), Time Trials or Road Racing. They welcome visitors. So if you if you want to see what it's about first hand, come to one of the events and check things out.

Yea, he said that a BMW set the record on Saturday and he had to come back on Sunday with a new one. TA had to concentrate to get that one I think. That's 4 out of 4 for him since running in Time Trials.

Actually I won Sat and Sun. The BMW beat my Sat time in the first session on Sunday that I sat out because I thought it didn't count. The next 3 sessions were an exercise in finding a good clean lap. I got black flagged for crossing the blend line coming out of the pits trying to find some spacing. that ate up 4 laps!

TA pulls a STF

I had to cancel my registration for RA this evening and no amount of beer is making me feel better (although the title of this post makes me smile - no offense STF). I have 3 weeks of back to back travel to bean town and I may be there over the weekend of this event. Y'all have fun and keep it shiny side up.

Oh my! That is quite a shocker. That's just not right. I can't imagine RA without you there in March.

Dude, that sucks.

we need to find Phlash, I think he fell of the face of the earth.

I'm here trolling....work has been hell for the past couple months.....and trying to get things under wraps as host for the summer Outbackers rally in FL in June for 150 adults and chitlins is proving to be quite a undertaking.......I told the DW to please NEVER volunteer me to be the host for anything like this ever again.........good god........

TA, sucks about March @ RA...I will be further south for that weekend (I know....surprise!). I got your message, thanks, I'll call ya back...need to talk about tires and your setup and catch up on life in general.

NASA plans are RR and Barber...RA in august is a maybe. I hope to be doing some stuff with Peachtree BMW this year at RA and again with PBOC at Barber. I need stuff though........brakes, tires, rotors will probably need to be replaced this year as well...just hasn't been time lately...just replaced coils, wires, and plugs to finally get rid of a nasty third gear load misfire issue I've been chasing for a month...that and if we would just take a break from camping to get some sh@t around the house done, things would be good.

I am always in here spirit and always watching..........never fret bout that.....there is safety in the darkness.........

TA --no longer a track ho?
Tough man--really sorry to hear that. Always--- the next one.
I was hoping you could ride with me some.
No summer events for me this year--no more 105F ambient temp survival modes for me! Spring and Fall is it!
And of course i will have some new stuff

NO LOVE! .. No worries, I know I have been hard to get ahold off, but those dang patients won't stay home just because I am at the track .

I hpe to be there, but as always, time will tell. I may just rent TA during the week, and do that instead. Sounds like th enew configuration is a blast.

Well my world has crashed and I will not be at this event.
Charlie has tried his best to help me but with my work being what it is and other people not doing what they said they would(NOT CHARLIE) it is going to end up me and Eleanor in the back yard /shed trying to get a new engine into her. No way will I make this event.
i want to give a big thanks out to charlie--if it had not been for him and his going above and beyond type of service--i would have gotten ripped off ---big time. THANK YOU MAN.
So anyone feel the need to get greasy --come on down--i am having a big learning experience.

Sorry for the problems. If I were closer I'd lend a hand. You'll have to give me the full story next time we get together. Curiosity killed the cat and all. Glad you've got somebody you can trust watching your back.

Same sentiments here OD. Sorry you are not gonna make it.
If you get to really feeling the itch, come up Sat. Am sure you can find a ride or three, give some advice , and am sure we can find you a place to sleep if you stay for dinner and a few cold one's.

OSCD - I too am sorry to hear this. I know you will do a great job in putting her together. You are learning many lessons along the way and you will end up with a fast machine.

Thanks Guys---hopefully Roebling for sure. I will keep all posted. maybe the bad karma will go somewhere else. i will say this --when Eleanor is finished --you are going to want to see her.
Maybe at least i can get to come up and hang out.
Well its back to northern tool to pick up my 2 ton cherry picker, low profile trans jack and better car stands.
Anyone know what size socket I need to remove the flywheel---isnt it a 55mm?

There will be enough of us hanging around. Some driving and some hanging out and taking pics. You will even get to meet Don driving his brand spanking new Audi R8. Saw it yesterday and it's a beautiful work of art. Look forward to seeing you.

Hope to see you there. PM me closer to the event and I will tell you where we are meeting up. If not just look for Mazda's. (Some of the racers have referred to us as AMM - Atlanta Mazda Mafia - lol ) HPDE will be in the pro-pits which is inside the track.
I won't be driving my 8 for this, but the miata. There will be two or three of those, a few 7's (I think Marietta 8 is bringing the LS1 Rx7), at least 3 Rx8's so far, plus we will be hanging with a couple that is bringing an Audi R8, an Exige S, and a Ford GT. (Not the mustang GT - the supercar GT. ) SilverEight and L8Apex are also scheduled to make appearances. And am hoping our two friends in mustangs show.

We are gonna have an impressive group in the paddock, just not as many 8's this year.
