Well, Hawks are back on the car, the seats will come out tomorrow, and the packing will begin. I have to find new numbers, the ones I had are no good anymore, they have delaminated from the backing, and are now worthless. PITA, gotta find new numbers now,

Good news, tires go on tomorrow, bad news, they screwed up and ordered the wrong ones.

STF you have always been a beta tester!
Red She Devil-- I dont know you can run the stuff through your printer--thanks thats good to know.
Ok how the heck do I get all 4 wheels/tires in my car for this trip?
Where are people putting their street tires after changing--leaving them at the hotel?
Other than the obvious of not messing the seats up--what are the advantages of this(little weight savings I know) do you have to do this to fit all the wheels and tires in?
Hows the weather looking?
How many socks should i bring?
yadayadayada--sorry for all the ?

OD, the tires will go in with the seats in, it is a tight fit, and will make for a not so fun drive up from Macon. Taking the seats out gives you a few extra inches of much needed storage space. They are not hard to take out, and then you get to look like a true tracker, with no seats you don't need. And you can just leave your street tires at the hotel, leave the car at the track, and catch a ride back to your hotel with someone. I think there will be a couple cars left at the track Saturday night.
RSD, yeah, magents work, I have mine from autocross, and may see if I can get my # changed. They have to have the leading edge taped down, or they become flying magnets. If worse comes to worse, painters tape it will be, in true Grassroots style.
Only two more days, not counting today, wooohooo!

now, now, now L8, as you have heard many times before, rain is a excellent learning oportunuity. The eight does very well at RA in the rain. The very first time our vigin little group ran there it rained on us.....it was hoot...and can still be driven very fast.....
i understand and appreciate all that, but I hate rain, for a few reasons. The biggest is...WINDOWS DOWN. The second is when you are not driving, you are standing in it. Guess I need to remember to bring the big *** umbrella too.
I see the value in driving in the rain, but I don't want to.

and last i checked, my car is not AWD. So I stand behind my statement, NO RAIN.
Besides, we have blue coming all the way from Wisconsin, what kind of weekend would that be if it rained. Not very good southern hospitality is it?
