Hey guys, here is some red meat for y’all to look forward to at Road Atlanta. Road Atlanta is probably my favorite track and I've got tons of video from there. Here are a couple of clips.
This clip is when I had a friend of mine in the car with me who had never been on track before. He is giggling and has his mobile phone taking pictures. During this clip we get our *** handed to us by a Supra driven by a Grand Am driver. This Supra had over 600 hp and he knew how to use every damn one of them:
Hidey Ho Silver!
Here's a clip of just a regular lap with nothing going on. This one should be used if you're interested in the line and no drama whatsoever.
Plain Vanilla
Enjoy! Now get ready for Road Atlanta!

PRICELESS! That was just too funny! Even my wife was laughing her *** off!
Now, The power you had coming out of turn 7 was awesome and even then that Supra powered by you. Amazing!

I will wait till I get back from Barber and study the other one. Thanks for sharing.

If history is any indication, I would suspect a 1:40 or 1:41 or better will take TTA, depending on track conditions.
S8, yea that guy with me was a hoot.
Here's a link to some video of that Supra owner. One is from that weekend at Road Atlanta, another is from Watkins Glen. He's a world class driver.

The wheels all have some slight blemishes on them, and the tires I bought in Feb. and have 6 or so autox's on them. The tires are probly have a little more than half of the tread left on them. PM me for some pics if any of you are interested. I'm asking $650 for everything. Its a low price because I need to get rid of them asap.
Don't worry, I still have the rx8 for the track, but I have something else for autox. Thanks for the time and be safe at RA.

BPK, I thought there were some folks in TTA running 1:40's? I went a best 1:42, after looking at the tape, but with the new mods, and the better tires, I am hoping for 3s improvement. However, I wasn't taking heat into consideration. I am not sure the track will be at the best condition for those times.

I don't think I can get below 1:42. I was there a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get the ol' mojo working.

Yeah, I am going to miss the car. He is supposed to pick up the car Monday, but I am looking forward to another new project. The BMW will make a great car, and I a siked about doing a new project. I will, eventually, be adding a little boost to the car, letting the guys from AMS tune it, however, for now, it will be a daily for the wife.

Lego - it'll be great to have you on track with me, KurtBob, and OD! Isn't it cool how we all started tracking a couple years ago and we have all advanced up through the HPDE ranks? I am excited now!

I'm taking my son out this Sunday for his 2nd pre NASA lesson. This time we will concentrate on final lap cool down because it will be more important this time than ever before because of the heat and two drivers for one car. When I told him he could not use the brakes on the cool down lap... there was dead silence on the other end of the telephone. The he said... "Well, what am I supposed to do in turn 12?" We also will be watching and analyzing the Panoz training vid with a turn-by-turn breakdown of the track. Kevin's getting pumped and so am I.
