Anyone in Central Florida intimately familiar with the Greddy Turbo?

Next week I'll be ordering my turbo kit. I've got a tight budget to perform this operation, in order to save cash for incidental expenses, i've decided to install the kit myself. Also I want to have first hand knowledge of the system in the event there are problems down the road, or if I want to upgrade or replace parts. I've got a good sized garage with a decent set of both hand and air tools. I've done alot of work on hondas and 240's (me and a friend swapped an sr20 and changed cams with absolutely no previous experience with that type of work, and I've also helped my roomate change the engine mounts in his caddy..not that that has anything to do with an RX8), but I have yet to do anything like that on my car. Time is not really an issue, as the car can stay in the garage as long as it needs too, but I can't have any major issues with the install that could pose a risk to the engine or other systems in the car. Ideally, I'd like to have it properly running (or at least really close) inside of 3 days since I have a long weekend next weekend and if I wait any longer, I'll be too busy with school until late summer this year.

I've talked to a few guys around here that are willing to help, and for that I am greatly thankful, but I'm looking to see if anyone has hands on experience with this kit. I can put you up in my house for the weekend, feed you, beer you, or whatever else you'd like as compensation (I will not however give anyone a sponge bath or anything lol).

I've read every post in every thread about the kit on here, and i feel mentally prepared, but it never hurts to have another brain in the garage.

Epi, Loube has the greddy turbo that Scott at Mazsport has been working on for the past year. He (Loube) lives in Tampa and would probably be able to answer any questions you might run across.

EvilMiata will be installing his turbo into his RX-8 at our house in the next week or so. He and my husband both have installed turbo Miatas and are very comfortable with the whole install. I am sure that if you want to come over and assist in their turbo install it would help you with yours, or they could do the same for you. ****, we could do them at the same house for S & G. Anyway, PM me and I will give you their numbers to talk a bit more about it.

Congrats! I can't wait to hear it!

loube used to be next door neighbors with my best friend of 19 years..him and i have talked alot in the past about turbos. he had the install perform by a shop though. what day is evil miata doing the install? if i can, I'd like to come down, but the weekdays are completely shot for me until august. i also can't take my car anywhere because i have a stupid shard of metal in my sidewall, and until I can find a used pilot sport 2 to replace it with, I can only drive for about 20 minutes before it goes flat

I'm planning on moving in with Mantis and 2ndshit (I can't believe it took me that long it think of that one! I kill me!) this weekend to bang out my computer install. We'll be replacing the whole fuel system, so it should be a nice opportunity to better understand the Renesis.

Epitrochoid, you're welcome to come along and help. If you're 8 can't make it, take the Model A!!!!!! You're website is down and I'm pissed that I can't see pictures of it!

sorry about the site...i got on the 1 year 50gb storage, 5gig/xfer for 12 months for $9 deal..and now it's expired and they want $120.

Once I stop being lazy im going to set up a server on my linux box so I have complete control [evil]hahahahahaa[/evil]

...and it looks like mazsport is going to be doing my install after all. They warranty their work and Scott's worked me a pretty good deal. I think me and my roomate are going to come down on Sunday though and give you guys a hand...or at least some comic relief lol.
