I'm still using Meguiar's Tech Wax (paste). I want to be like Master Jedi and go Zaino, but don't have the patience and the force to make my cars shine like his!

What's up, Jedi!

I threw away all my regular Zaino for Z-CS. There's no use applying Z5 and mixing up ZFX bonding material between Z5 coats anymore. Such a waste of time when Z-CS lasts longer (5 months outdoor, longer indoor), wipe once to apply, dries clear with little to no buffing.

I think I did 4 coat of Z-CS the past year while doing lots of cross country relocation, and at this rate the spray bottle will last me 100 years.

Due to the ease of scratching right through the thin paint on rx8, the less touchy the better.

I've been using the Griot's best of show wax and like it - depth, gloss, ease of removal all are things I look for in a wax.

Man, Zaino must be insane or you're incredibly particular. I just clay barred and NXT Tech Waxed for the first time since i've owned the car and it looks amazing. It's the best wax i've used by far. I was using some sort of generic Turtle Wax before but this was night and day better.

Pictures dont do it proper justice but here is the NXT Tech Wax in action.

I wouldn't call it "insane", but it is extremely high quality and easily better than NXT IMO. To each their own though....

They are all very nice, but since mine is black the "glossy shine" lasts for about 2 to 3 days, so I'm more concerned about UV protection than anything else, specially because of the rain and sudden sunshine we experience here in south Florida,(water drops act like a magnifying glass). So which wax leaves behind the best UV paint protection?

Somebody asked for pic. Here.

It is about time saved in application, and durability outlasting other Zaino product. They claim up to 9 months.

TW Ice has poor durability because it stays wet and just doesn't dry to a hard shell. It's like baby oil.

NXT looks fine, yet lacks durability. Apply, haze, buff process.

Z5, Z2 has better durability and dries to a coating that is slick and dry. It is more complicated than just apply, haze, buff process. It requires time-intensive ZFX process on initial application and subsequently on occasion.

Z-CS has the best durability of the above and ease of application. Apply and it is done.

There are more specialized wax out there by mail order but I haven't tried them.

I found 2 more bottles of Z5 Pro and 1 ZFX to give away, that I have not thrown away yet. Anyone in 91950.

lol, I meant pics of your car. I'm curious to see what CS would look like without Z2 and ZFX under it.

Wanna ship your Z5 Pro and ZFX? I'll pay the costs and then some if you want.

I use the Meguiars 3 step system.

Step 1 - micro finish for swirls and small scratches.
Step 2 - cleaner / polish
Step 3 - deep crystal carnauba wax

It is a pain because its waxing the car 3 times one after the other, but once its done its looks amazing.

EXACTLY! That was my entire problem with NXT. Looked ok, but seemed to nearly wash all away with the first rain. Then by the second or third rain, you couldn't even tell it had been waxed recently. Went back to Zaino and haven't looked back. Currently using the Z2 Z5 ordeal, but will try the newer stuff when this is gone.

So with Z-CS do you not have to wax or polish the car?

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Z-CS should be used very SPARINGLY. LESS than 1/4 oz can complete an average vehicle.

You will achieve the best results with Z-CS over clean and dry surfaces. Thoroughly clean and dry all surfaces.

Mist a #314 cotton applicator pad with Z-CS 1 time to preload the pad with product. Do not use an applicator pad that has been used with ANY other product. If you choose to reuse an applicator pad that has already been used with only Z-CS, store it in a sealed Ziploc style bag between uses. Holding sprayer about 4 inches from the surface, lightly spray Z-CS once directly onto the panel, avoiding any overspray. Work Z-CS into the paint evenly with the applicator pad using overlapping motions one section (18-24" area) at a time.

Allow product to fully dry. DO NOT BUFF OR WIPE OFF. Sit back and relax while Z-CS does the work! Just apply and let dry!
NOTE: Z-CS is extremely durable and should provide up to 9 months of protection for your vehicle. If your goals are maximum shine and maximum protection on everyday vehicles, we recommend 3-4 applications per year. For show car owners, integrating Z-CS with regular use of Z-2 or Z-5 PRO will provide the wettest-looking, deepest, most distortion-free finish you can imagine. For best results, maintain with Z-6 Gloss Enhancer Spray or Z-8 Spray Seal and Z-7 Show Car Wash..

That is right. But I doubt it will look nearly as good if the car is waxed before you put it on.

Griot's Garage Best of Show wax. Very high Carnuaba content.

Meguiar's NXT Tech wax is also very good.
