Best Wax for RX8??

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good brand of wax to use on the RX8 for the upcoming summer months. I have the "Galaxy Gray" on my car and live in DE during the summer so weather usually varies. Any suggestions?

It's all relative. It comes down to personal taste, ease of application, depth of shine and how long it will last. A lot of people on this site use Zaino, Meguiars and Mothers. I have used them all and all are very good. I most recently used Klasse's all-in-one as a base and P21s on top (pictures below). I like it a lot. But it's all up to you and what you think is best. Good Luck.

If you want to go with hobbyist/professional type stuff, you could with anything really that you see being reviewed on autopia.org. Tons of knowledge there. Popular ones would be Zaino, Ultima, Wolfgang, Klasse...etc.

There are very good over the counter type products that work very good too. For cheaper details I've done I've used Meguiars new 105 compound for polishing as a 1-step, then follow that with Color X, and follow that with NXT 2.0.

You can probably skip the polish stage and polish by hand with Scratch X. It'll diminish the looks of scratches and swirls.

I've been known to use Zaino from time to time. ;)

I'm a Zaino fan myself. It's a LOT easier to wash my car now that I've got a few coats of zaino on, and it looks incredible too. Every person who looks at my car now says "holy shit" when they see the paint. It's great.

Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax
http://www.gpwizard.co.uk/shop/images/g12711.jpg

Formulated for rotaries!!

The new NXT 2.0 which is supposed to be better has one of those fat ass g35s on it though....

I'm all about the paste wax. It gives your car a really nice deep gloss to it. That zaino stuff is just too shiny and i don't think it looks very "deep". I want a deep glossy finish, not some pseudo-mirror reflective windex shit.....

^^^^
Used Zaino for a long time, but ran out and bought the NXT Tech Wax. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. Wasn't horrible. But it was no Zaino. Re-upped on my Zaino supply and haven't looked back since. I will likely never use another product on any of my cars.

nxt 2.0......meguiars all the way.

I have just started using 2.0 from the original tech wax and it's not bad, not bad at all. Also used the Meguiars ScratchX with it and it worked wonderfully.

Meguiar's NXT 2.0 is the best I have ever used and I recommend it highly.

3M Performance Finish with Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer over the top for a good looking, water resistant finish.

+1 for NXT Techwax.

The cost / result value, is very good.
We use it at our local show and shine workshops all the time. However, we always put on one layer of "Nu Finish" polish before NXT.
Nu-Finish +Scratch Doctor + NXT = Surface like water, 95% less scratches. Fantastic!

We recommend to the participants to purchase Zaino, because of it's excellent results. We also suggest bringing it their own Zaino to the workshop to learn how to apply it effeciently.
