So you were to cheap to step up to the Koni 2812.

One I don't think I'm good enough of a driver to take advantage of them.
Two They would have been $2700 after the rebuild, + more if i wanted shorter shafts.
Three the prospect of having to rebuild them annually was not appealing
Four I passed the deal off to a fellow STU rx-8 driver.

There was nothing cheap about converting from an OE spring and ride height setup to a lowered coilover setup with a rebuild thrown in, they aren't configured like mine

not to mention no cheaper than you ...

the kw variant 3 is arguably the best suspension for the rx-8 apart from a koni 2812 (truechoice phase 4, etc.), moton clubsport, or other major coilover setup. i don't know of any other coilover setup where you can get both rebound and compression adjustability for such a ridiculously low (group buy) price of $1650.

razz1 should chime in here too as i believe he likes his k2 v3's a lot.

edit: oops, looks like razz1 already gave his feedback in the GB thread.

well I just got back my hydraulic Koni DA shocks from Truechoice, cost me $1000 to rebuild all four, something to always consider when buying used high end shocks ...
