I was desperate to get 4 wheels/tires and 4 tires to the tire shop in one trip. I fit four stock rims w/dead 710s and four Ulllose cast-off 710s in the car. All eight in large bags - hate brake dust. Used moving blankets covering the front/rear seats and console. Wheel/tires in the back seats; unmounted tire on the rear center console; two unmounted tires in the front seat; one unmounted tire in the trunk. Hopefully not the highlight of my SD Tour experience!

 

FWIW, I use a "pet pad" (like the bench seat version sold here) to protect the back seat and center concole when hauling tires in the back. The pet pad is quilted, so it offers some protection against scuffs, and it covers the seat so it keep brake dust off of the upholstery.
