Looking forward to it Jim! Shawn will be registering in the coming weeks, so all we need is one more to make a full class. Hopefully Carter and Jim will make the trip down.

I've driven an A-stock AP1 (on hoosiers) and I must say they are fun little cars. Toss it into the first offset and you'll see why that car is in AS and ours is in BS. Light & nimble with a small wheelbase. Oh, and try to keep the back-end behind you...I couldn't!

Anyone planning on making the trip to Dixie?

Looks like I could have a BSL co-driver for Dixie. Hopefully she'll like the RX-8 and come run it @ Nats!

Are you going to be running in BS again this year Adrian? Will Wayne be co-driving? Hope to run against you guys again at Nats.

No idea.

My plans on a ride, co-driver and Nationals will depend on some things happening in the next few months. Can't say much.

Weekend forecast for Adel, GA is looking pretty sweet:

I've been doing the "no-rain" dance all week, and it looks like it might pay off. Considering my rain tires are RE-11s, though, I might do better if it DOES rain.

LOL. Keep the "no-rain" dance going Mark!

After the Pro Finale last year, I realized you really need Hoosier wets - so when it came time to replace my SPT's, I went with some 420 treadwear Kumho ASX's. Cheap, comfortable and wear like bricks on my car with ~-2.0 degrees of camber.

I've always wondered how much slower SPTs were than Hoosier wets; it sounds like you have a data point on this?

At the Finale, 10 were in BS - Brian Coulson was 7th (whatbadgerseat), Isley was 8th, Shawn (my co-driver) was 9th and I was 10th. We were all on SPTs.

IIRC, Harvey was 5th on the new Dunlop Direzzas Star Specs which are quite good along with the new Toyo T1R's (a guy won ES on these tires). The SPT's are best in a torrential downpour with plenty of standing water on course. If there's only a fair amount of standing water on course, the Hoosier wets will outperform them every time. So since I'm screwed in the wet anyways, I went with a tire that will last forever on a car running a fair amount of -ve camber.

Chike -

For the sake of accuracy, my co-driver, John Rogers finished 2nd to Carter at the Pro Solo Finale while on the Star Specs.

Good luck to all those going to the first big event of the year. And make sure to keep those Z boys down.
