I may have deleted my post on the airbag resistor, my postings here tend to be temporary

I'll look at mine again in the next night or two and see what I can find or take pics on the connector

Should be just about done with mine by this weekend, the air box may drag into next week worst case. I'm going to hold off corner weighting it until working through some initial handling suspension setup stuff.

Got 1 seat installed! Came in at 22lbs. So I added some cross braces to get it up to 25lbs.
Seat is NRG Inovations Carbon fiber.

Looks much better than I expected Solo, awesome job! I'll post pics of the car when I get it back with Small Fortune as the final product.

Team, sounds good, thanks! Just would be helpful is all. :D Team, when you're done everything, are you planning on posting up pictures along with all your build goodies and stuff? Would be nice to see what you've done.

Once you get the RE-11's mounted, measure the height of the stack. My mounted 255/40/17 RS-3's are ridiculously wide. I'll try to snap a pic this weekend when I take them out of storage for my first event weekend.

^Will do. I'm sure the 255s will be much closer - within an inch overall.

Solo, the seat looks good!

Thanks guys.
Now I just need to get another free day to do the other. It really is time consuming to get them right. Took the better part of the day for the first one, maybe the second one will go quicker.

^--- I hear ya. At least for mine.. the Corbeau bases fit..what I like to call "TOO perfect" and that it was the biggest pain in the *** to line them up and bolt it all in. Then when I found out I had to shave the rear feet off on the seat so it sat properly.. I almost lost it. Took us 3 hours per seat to cut the feet off and all. At least you don't have to modify your seats to fit proper.

So, the stack of mounted 265 RE11s measured exactly 41" tall, measured from the ground to a straightedge that spanned the entire diameter of the tire.

They measured 44" tall unmounted, for whatever that's worth.

I just measured my mounted 255 RS-3's from the ground to a straight edge that also spanned the entire diameter of the tire. They measured 41 1/3" tall (all four tires are inflated to 40psi).

FWIW, I recorded a value of 40 2/3" tall for the unmounted stack of RS-3's.

Interesting. The section width got wider when you mounted them.

Measuring treadwidth is another thing altogether. That's harder to do - I suspect the best way is to roll some wet tires while on the car over a dry surface and measure. If I just eyeball it, and guess where the contact patch would start, I get about 9.5", which is about what Tirerack shows (9.6").

Weight on my undoubtedly-innacurate bathroom scale is 43 lbs. I suspect the scale reads low.

Sounds closer. My combo, if you believe the published weight, should come in at 45 lbs.

I wonder if any of the Packwood competitors will put RE11s on some 17" RPF1s. It would be an interesting comparison.

One other comment - as I said earlier, I had these mounted at my local setup shop. The owner road races a showroom stock Civic on Hoosiers, which he mounts himself, and he said the 265 RE11s were like mounting race tires, a real bitch to get on the rim. Not sure if it counts for much but it sounded good to me.

Looks good Mark. Those aren't Stance... I believe he said before Koni's. I'm assuming by the color it looks like Hyperco springs too, right?

If you see anything posted by TeamRX8, just know that he only puts "top shelf" parts on any of his cars.

His set-ups are truly a thing of beauty!
