which ones are you going to order?

I suspect I will need new ones before the end of the year, probably after RoadAtlanta in 3 weeks.

They should be better for street rotors...and less likely to warp than stock. Racing Brake uses good castings that should be at least as good as OEM..if not better.

Yep - I e-mailed them and talked it over. I'm going for street use and just a few weekend track days service. Plus, could not resist the look

Just out of ignorance, I am assuming these would need to go through the proper break in procedure before being subjected to track like conditions, or am I wrong about that. I am debating ordering these before Road Atlanta in March.

I hate to re-visit this too much, but I would really like to figure this out.

What are teh advantages of using a cross drilled and vented rotor, over a stock smooth one. Another 8'er and I have been discussing this, and aside from the possible weight savings, what else is there. I only ask, because if the delaership wants $175 each for new rotors, and the $75 ones are crap, then I might as well buy these from Racing Brake, and be done with it.

And from what I can tell, after doing brake pad changes, it would not be very hard at all to swap out the rotors. Hell, the rear ones are held in place by the damn wheel being tightened down, and the fronts appear to be relatively easy as well.

Sorry if I sound stupid, I just try to research things before I spend my hard earned money on them.

you don't want drilled rotors for the track, get either the smooth ones or the slotted ones

and yes they should be bedded in, I believe there is a procedure listed on their website, they also discuss the different face surface features there too

on the front rotors you'll need a impact screwdriver to break the rotor screws loose, they're usually too tight to break loose by hand, I recommend you buy one it will come in handy for other stuff too

Correct, the drilled ones are bling for street use and an occasional track weekend. That's why I purchased them. If I was doing heavy duty track work, I would have purchased the slotted only ones.

So, is there any consensus as to where to get REPLACEMENT rotors? I don't need any slots or holes, I just want equivalent or better performance than stock out of a solid rotor for as CHEAP as possible!

Where should I get them?
Thanks!
