Hmmm....all the dyno runs on the dynojet seem to cut off at just below 9100 engine rpms on Shelbi's car.

I don't know which is correct to tell you the truth.

Phew! For a second there I thought the car didn't have much hp. But if it's just "dynoing low" then we should be ok. :p

That is outright pathetic. How does 238hp translate to 180whp? Mazda musta dyno'd a 0 mileage engine before it had time to burn through 5 quarts of oil and clog the cats with it. I bet Sam is putting out almost those numbers on his lowly 200hp car.

I wish I could post the runs to this list.
Dynojet uses something called runviewer.exe for viewing the files.
No biggie.
Correction factor was SAE whatever that is.
Oh! One guy there that day had a plugged cat and was only making 135hp but he also had an aftermarket ECU/laptop etc.
He was pretty pissed after so much $$$ was invested. I would be too.

My experience with NA rotaries is they often take 15,000-20,000 miles to fully break-in and make good power. Or maybe it's that they've burnt the inside of the exhaust systems to a crisp by then... :p

When I rebuilt my 13BT it only showed 90psi of compression average 50 miles after first start-up. 10,000 miles later it showed 120psi compression average.

Watching the tach in the car, the cutout looks to be 9500. The GTech Pro RR logs show it happening around 9100. I've always thought that the GTech just got less accurate as it climbed over about 7k as the recorded peaks always seemed to be lower than what I remembered seeing in the car (particularly when doing HP runs).

But seeing a number of dynos showing the cutoff to be ~9100, I'm beginning to wonder.
